SENIOR RELATIONSHIP BANKER

The Senior Relationship Banker will open accounts and sell all bank deposit products and services, assists customers with inquiries, problems, and directions and is able to handle consumers loans from applications to closing. This position may also relieve management of some supervisory and administrative duties as needed and must exercise independent judgement and minimal supervision.


Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Consistently seeks to deliver exceptional customer service with a positive approach in all areas of retail banking.
  • Successfully completes all Teller and CSR tasks and responsibilities within established policies, procedures and guidelines including.
  • Maintains cash drawer in accordance with assigned cash limits, accurately handle currency and balance the cash drawer.
  • Opens all types of deposit accounts for customers.
  • Takes consumer loan applications and assist other lenders.
  • Provides Notary Public services and Medallion Signature Guarantee
  • Builds customer loyalty, establish customer relationships through courtesy and friendliness, including addressing each customer by name.
  • Contributes to a positive environment in the banking center through teamwork, team spirit and coaching
  • Identifies customer needs and refer financial products and services.
  • Generates new business to assist in meeting established profitability goals.
  • Works Saturdays and or occasional extended hours as needed to accommodate the flow of business.
Requirements:

• A minimum of two years of progressive banking/financial services/teller experience with a successful compliance, customer service, cash handling, referral and/or cross sell ratings

• Ability to demonstrate competence in retail consumer lending responsibilities and duties

• Demonstrated proficiency in interpersonal communications, verbal and written is a must. This position requires daily interaction with customers, employees and vendors and concise communications are critical.

• Ability to prepare or interpret basic verbal and written instructions and/or perform routine mathematical functions

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Obtain and maintain Notary and NMLS certifications

• Ability to successfully identify customer needs, goals and objectives and suggest bank products and services that match the customers’ needs

• Ability to respond and assist customers with inquiries and/or problem-solving resolution

• Possess the skills necessary to work effectively as a team member

• Proficiency in basic computer skills

• Careful attention to detail and time management
