Job description

Position Summary:
The Neighborhood Sales Assistant is an entry-level role designed to provide hands-on experience in new home sales and construction. Working closely with and mentored by Neighborhood Sales Counselor's. The Sales Assistant supports daily sales office operations across communities. This position is ideal for a driven, sales-oriented individual looking to launch a career in new home sales with a respected and growing national homebuilder.
Responsibilities:
  • Complete all assigned tasks in the Sales Associate training program under the guidance of designated mentors. Learn the full sales process by attending contract appointments, site meetings, and escrow calls to gain a deep understanding of the customer journey.
  • Greet and register prospects in HubSpot CRM, guide them through model homes and community tours, and deliver compelling presentations using the company's sales process.
  • Proactively generates traffic through calls, social media, events, and realtor outreach. Follow up on leads from various sources, maintain consistent prospect communication, and assist with self-prospecting activities.
  • Assist Sales Counselors in servicing the sale, including buyer selections, change orders, deposits, loan approvals, orientations, and walk-throughs. Maintain regular contact with buyers throughout the construction process.
  • Support realtor engagement by providing current inventory info and tracking traffic. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay informed on pricing, floor plans, promotions, and buyer demographics.
  • Help prepare weekly reports and maintain accurate records. Support general sales office functions, including prospect registration cards and community updates.
  • Uphold high standards of professionalism and integrity.
  • Foster strong cross-functional communication and participate actively in team goals and personal growth.

Key Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Valid Real Estate License (as applicable by State).
  • 1-2 years of sales experience.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and closing skills.
  • Highly organized with excellent follow-through.
  • Proficient with computers and software such as Outlook, HubSpot, Word, Excel; ability to learn new systems.
  • Knowledge of homebuilding or residential real estate is a plus.

Physical Requirements:
This role requires the ability to sit, stand, walk (including uneven terrain), bend, reach, climb stairs, and lift or carry items up to 25 pounds. Candidates must have full-color vision, adequate hearing, and the ability to communicate clearly and type efficiently. Proficiency with computers, including the use of a keyboard and calculator, is essential.
Work is performed in both office and field settings. The primary environment is a sales office with a low to moderate noise level, involving extended computer use, paperwork, and phone communication. The secondary environment includes active construction sites, where conditions may involve moderate noise, heat, cold, and inclement weather.
The position also requires operating a motor vehicle, visiting jobsites regularly, and reading construction plans. Because the role involves frequent public contact, professional appearance and appropriate business attire are expected.
