Transportation Construction Inspector/Supervisor
Altoona, PA Office

Job Summary:
The EADS Group, Inc. is accepting applications for Roadway and Bridge Construction Inspector/Supervisor for existing and anticipated construction work located in and around Central Pennsylvania. Job responsibilities include performing inspections on roads, bridges, or other transportation projects, testing materials for quality assurance, documenting and calculating quantities of work performed and materials used. Applicants will utilize basic technology (iPad or Computer) to help perform their daily construction inspection duties. Supervisory responsibilities include the planning, assigning, and reviewing work of other Transportation Construction Inspectors, training inspection personnel associated with project construction, and making on-site technical decisions. Both full and part-time positions are available.

Here's what you'll need:

Applicants should have good verbal and written communication skills, basic math skills, the ability to read and understand technical documents, and the ability to work well in public and/or team environments.

Must be willing to work outdoors and be physically able to do fieldwork.

Applicants must be willing to travel to various construction sites located in and around the Central Pennsylvania region.


Here's what we'd like to see:

Prior experience in the highway and/or bridge construction industry. PennDOT and/or PA Turnpike highway and bridge construction inspection is preferred.

Additional certifications in ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician, NECEPT Bituminous Field Technician, NECEPT Concrete Field Technician, and NICET in Highway Construction Inspection are helpful and will determine the inspector's project classifications.
