This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Full-Time Senior Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing Technician for our Columbia, MD or York, PA office. This person will visit client sites in the DMV area and may come in office as needed.  They will be involved in projects with our Property and Buildings Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges.

Your Impact
  • Testing, Adjusting and Balancing to achieve proper operation of HVAC systems for institutional clients (Hospitals, Labs and Higher Education). 

  • Critical Space Testing to measure airflows and confirm room pressurization is correct in addition to calculating air change rates directly for existing healthcare clients.  

  • Pre-commissioning to confirm the installation of the mechanical system is installed per the contract documents and the owner's specifications. 

  • Functional performance testing to exercise HVAC equipment through its paces to confirm the systems are operating per the design intent. 

  • Lead / Supervise younger staff Lead quality control of deliverables  
  • Drive team's pipeline. (Follow up with outstanding proposals)
  • Engage with clients to schedule manpower for projects.
Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma 
  • 9+ years of relevant Testing and Balancing Field experience 
  • NEBB Certified Technician

Preferred Qualifications 

  • HVAC Trade School training and/or certification

Compensation:

Expected Salary (all locations): $85,000- $130,000

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
