What is NDT testing?

NDT testing, or Non-Destructive Testing, refers to a range of techniques used to evaluate the properties of materials, components, or structures without causing damage. These methods are commonly used to detect flaws, measure thickness, and assess the integrity of products in industries such as manufacturing, aerospace, construction, and oil and gas. NDT ensures safety and reliability by identifying defects early, which helps prevent failures and reduces maintenance costs. Some common NDT methods include ultrasonic testing, radiographic testing, magnetic particle testing, and dye penetrant testing.

Is it hard to get a Ndt Testing job?

Getting a NDT Testing job can be competitive and typically requires relevant certifications such as ASNT Level I or II, along with technical skills in nondestructive testing methods like ultrasonic, radiographic, or magnetic particle testing. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.

We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain - and we're looking for talented people who want to help.
As a NDT Technician, you are expected to support projects from conception to completion. Projects will involve independent work and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. In the NDT Tech role, you are expected to delight the customer by building trust, delivering on key milestones, and acting as a good steward by overseeing the procurement and upkeep of equipment and tools.
You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles

You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. This role requires regular travel between multiple data center sites within the region. The incumbent is responsible for self-arranging reliable transportation to and from assigned work locations.

- Deploy and support all existing and new standard practices for Nondestructive Testing.
- Communicate complex technical information to a non-technical audience.
