NDT Radiographic Testing (RT) Level II Technician – Aerospace Manufacturing

We are recruiting for an established Southern California aerospace/manufacturing company seeking an experienced NDT Radiographic Testing (RT) Level II Technician to join its quality team.

This is a full-time, hands-on opportunity for an experienced NDT professional who knows radiographic inspection and can independently set up equipment, perform inspections, interpret results, and make acceptance/rejection determinations in accordance with applicable specifications and standards.

If you have NAS 410 RT Level II certification and experience working with castings, aerospace components, precision manufacturing, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment, we'd like to speak with you.

What You'll Do

  • Perform radiographic (RT) nondestructive testing and inspection
  • Set up and calibrate NDT equipment
  • Interpret radiographs and identify casting discontinuities and defects
  • Evaluate inspection results against applicable specifications, codes and standards
  • Make acceptance/rejection determinations within Level II authority
  • Document, organize and report inspection results
  • Establish appropriate inspection techniques for components being evaluated
  • Perform specialized inspections while maintaining strict safety and quality standards
  • Provide guidance and on-the-job support to Level I technicians and assistants as needed
  • Work closely with Quality, Manufacturing and other technical teams

What We're Looking For

  • Current NDT RT Level II certification – NAS 410
  • Hands-on radiographic testing experience
  • Ability to independently set up equipment and interpret/evaluate radiographic results
  • Strong understanding of NDT procedures, specifications and acceptance criteria
  • Experience identifying and interpreting discontinuities/defects
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
  • Dependable, hands-on work style and ability to work effectively within a manufacturing environment
  • Aerospace, castings, foundry or precision manufacturing experience strongly preferred
  • Film radiography and/or digital radiography experience (CR/DR) preferred
