Job description

Position Summary:-

Acuren is seeking a Multi-Cert NDT Level II Technician with Radiographic Testing (RT) certification to support its operations in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The position is responsible for performing nondestructive testing activities, evaluating inspection results, conducting specialized inspections, and ensuring that examinations are performed in accordance with applicable specifications, standards, and safety requirements.

The technician is expected to understand the scope and limitations of the NDT methods being used and may provide on-the-job training and guidance to assistants and Level I technicians. The position requires willingness to travel, although local candidates based in Tulsa, OK, or the surrounding area within approximately 40 miles are preferred.

Responsibilities:-
  • Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.
  • Conduct NDT examinations to ensure quality or detect discontinuities and defects.
  • Establish appropriate examination techniques while maintaining strict adherence to safety regulations.
  • Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications and standards.
  • Evaluate and interpret inspection results.
  • Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters, and visual indicators.
  • Organize and report test results.
  • Perform specialized inspections.
  • Provide on-the-job training and guidance to assistants and Level I technicians.
  • Instruct and supervise others when required.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:-
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Some college education is preferred.
  • Multi-certified Level II NDT qualification.
  • Level II Radiographic Testing (RT) certification.
  • Technical background in NDT methods and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret inspection results.
  • Knowledge of NDT equipment.
  • Experience in report writing.
  • DR/CR experience is considered an advantage.
Requirements:-
  • The technician must be able to provide current or prior copies of applicable NDT certifications.
  • The technician must be able to provide classroom documentation.
