Shipping Coordinator, Mojave, CA

Starting Pay Range: $24.25

Shift: 1st Shift, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 5:00am - 1:30pm

As a Shipping Clerk, you will be a crucial part of our operations, ensuring that a quality product is available to our customers when they need them. Your work will directly affect people's lives!

Primary Responsibilities

  • Follow the company policies and generally accepted procedures for shipping domestic and international shipments. 

  • Load/unload carrier trucks for pick-ups and deliveries. 

  • Provide back up for all shipping areas. 

  • Housekeeping/5s to ensure a safe and efficient production environment. 

  • Maintains all shipping paperwork required accurately and timely. 

  • Coordinate outbound shipments with logistics carriers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to ensure on time departures and maximize daily productivity.

  • Accurately pick, stage, and prepare outbound orders according to shipping documentation, customer requirements, and transportation mode.

  • Palletize and shrink wrap materials for LTL shipments and rack storage.

  • Read shipping orders to determine quantity and type of transportation needed. 

  • Operate equipment such as forklift, electric pallet jacks and more safely and efficiently.

  • Perform additional duties as required and or requested. 

  • Update shipping logs, ERP systems, and tracking tools to ensure real time visibility of outbound freight.

  • Provide backup support across all shipping, picking, packing and receiving areas, including staging, packaging, and inventory control as needed.

  • Troubleshoot common shipping issues such as damaged freight, incorrect documentation, or carrier delays, escalating when necessary.

  • Ensure full compliance with U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and hazardous materials (HazMat) handling requirements for all applicable shipments.

  • Adhere to all safety policies, including PPE usage, equipment inspections, and hazard reporting.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of related experience in a warehouse environment. 

  • Domestic and international shipping a plus. 

  • Experience with shipping / handling hazardous goods. 

  • Extreme attention to detail. 

  • Forklift Operator experience is a plus.

  • Ability to remain standing for extended periods. 

  • Flexibility on some weekends and evenings, required.
