Job description

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring a QA/QC Manager in Fountain City, WI for a direct hire opportunity with our client. As a trusted partner in the construction industry, we connect top talent with top companies across the United States. 

Job Type: Direct Placement
Pay: $100,000 to $112,000 Per Year BOE

Responsibilities:
  • Complete Quality Control Daily Reports
  • Receive and maintain Quality Control Inspection records
  • Read and understand codes and requirements for Blasting & Painting, Welding, Bolting
  • Verify dimensions of product or material to match shop drawings and field conditions
  • Interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and confer with site management or engineering staff to determine quality standards
Qualifications:
  • Five (5) years of related construction experience, preferably past USACE Projects
  • Installing or repairing steel structures (bridges, dams, tanks, etc.)
  • Steel coatings application & abrasive blasting
  • USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) Certificate (or ability to obtain upon hiring)
  • AMPP Certified Coatings Inspector (CIP Level 2) Certificate, preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret contract specifications and shop fabrication drawings
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screenings (background + drug test, including THC)
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
  • This position sometimes operates in an office environment but will require regular visits to construction sites.
  • Job Requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year (heat, cold, rain, and snow).
  • Must be able to utilize construction site sanitary facilities (Porta-Johns).
  • Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses always), and a respirator when required.
  • Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.
  • Able to work 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, overtime as required and night shifts.
  • All elements inside and out.

Pay Transparency
The anticipated salary range for this position is $100,000 to $112,000 Per Year, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
