Job Summary
We are seeking a Non-Destructive Testing Inspector & Certified Weld Inspector to join our team. In this role, you will monitor the quality of welded materials and ensure they meet AWS/ASNT high-quality standards. You will inspect welds at various structural steel sites in a variety of areas.  Use AWS/ASNT methods to inspect them, and approve or reject them based on their quality. The ideal candidate has an eye for detail and is committed to our high standards of quality.  
 
Responsibilities 
  • Review blueprints and written instructions to understand quality requirements for each product
  • Select random samples and test using various standard methods
  • Approve or reject samples based on quality standards and inspections
  • Use necessary tools in the course of testing products
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of testing outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times
  • Assist NDT Technician with inspections of structures, boilers, or other components and materials in accordance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, and procedures.
  • Assist in the set-up and to utilize equipment for non destructive testing.
  • Assist in the identification of defects in materials using testing techniques.
  • Following instructions to ensure safety.
  • Assist in NDT examination techniques.  Select, prepare, load, calibrate, or operate equipment used in the non destructive testing of products or materials.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge.
  • Able to work a demanding and flexible schedule.  Able to work long periods of time. Able to respond to call outs on short notice.  Able to work nights and weekends.  Able to drive long distance for travel for extended periods of time.
  • Be able to lift objects up to 75 pounds on loose, rough, or uneven terrains.  Be able to climb and work at heights, balancing, kneeling, crouching, standing for long periods of time, working in confined spaces, visual acuity, and working near hazards including moving mechanical parts.
  • Valid drivers license and insurance.
  • Insure work and used materials are compliant with manufacturer and customer specifications.
  •  Be willing to travel up to 50% of the time or more
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a CWI or Level II UT NDT Inspector or in a similar role is preferred
  • Understanding of welding and quality control a plus
  • Attention to detail 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and other software applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
