Job description

Valence Surface Technologies is a full-service surface finishing company specializing in the commercial aerospace, defense, space and satellite industries. With ten strategically located sites across the United States, Valence provides a start to finish solution from NDT and chemical processing, to paint and sub-assembly.

Position Summary:

Responsible for performing non-destructive testing on aerospace components to ensure they meet industry standards and safety regulations, requiring an eye for detail, strong technical skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards.

  • Responsibilities

    • Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) using various methods such as ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, and dye penetrant testing.
    • Interpret and evaluate test results in accordance with applicable standards and specifications.
    • Document and report findings accurately and comprehensively.
    • Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to address any identified issues.
    • Maintain and calibrate NDT equipment to ensure optimal performance.
    • Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations at all times.
    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes and efficiency.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned. 
  • Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in NDT preferred.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in non-destructive testing, preferably in the aerospace industry.
    • Proficiency in NDT methods.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.

Export Compliance Requirement
