Ndt Level Two information

Is NDT level 2 a good career choice?

NDT Level Two is a valuable certification in nondestructive testing, allowing technicians to perform inspections, interpret results, and supervise Level One personnel. It offers opportunities in industries such as manufacturing, aerospace, and energy, with career advancement potential and competitive salaries. However, job stability depends on industry demand and ongoing training requirements.

What are the career paths after NDT Level 2?

NDT Level 2 technicians can advance to NDT Level 3 roles, which involve overseeing inspection programs, developing procedures, and certifying personnel. They may also specialize in specific methods such as ultrasonic, radiographic, or magnetic particle testing, or move into quality assurance, inspection management, or training positions within manufacturing, aerospace, or energy industries.

What is the difference between Ndt Level Two vs Ndt Level Three?

How much do level 2 NDT techs make?

Level 2 NDT technicians typically earn between $50,000 and $80,000 annually, depending on experience, industry, and location. Certification in methods like ultrasonic, radiographic, or magnetic particle testing can influence salary levels, and many work in industrial or manufacturing environments with standard shifts.

What is the highest paying NDT job?

The highest paying NDT Level Two positions are often in specialized industries such as aerospace, oil and gas, or nuclear power, where advanced certifications and extensive experience are required. These roles typically offer higher salaries due to the complexity of inspections, use of advanced testing methods like ultrasonic or radiographic testing, and the critical nature of safety standards.
