Job description

Level II NDT Technician – Richmond, VA
Full-Time | Local Candidates or Candidates Willing to Relocate
We are currently seeking experienced Level II NDT Technicians for full-time opportunities in Richmond, Virginia. Candidates must either be local to the Richmond area or willing to relocate for this position.
The ideal candidate will have prior nondestructive testing experience in industrial, manufacturing, refinery, power generation, or related environments and possess a strong commitment to safety, quality, and technical excellence.
Position Summary
The Level II NDT Technician will perform nondestructive testing inspections in accordance with applicable procedures, customer specifications, and industry standards. Candidates must be capable of setting up inspection equipment, interpreting results, and preparing accurate documentation while working independently and as part of a team.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform Level II NDT inspections using applicable methods such as UT, MT, PT, VT, and/or RT
  • Set up, calibrate, and operate NDT equipment
  • Interpret inspection results and evaluate indications
  • Prepare accurate inspection reports and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with company, customer, and safety requirements
  • Maintain inspection equipment and records
  • Work closely with supervisors, quality teams, and customers
  • Support field and shop inspection operations as needed
  • Work overtime, weekends, and varying shifts based on project demands
Qualifications
  • Current Level II NDT certification in one or more methods required
  • Previous NDT inspection experience required
  • Strong understanding of NDT procedures, standards, and inspection techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and procedures
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and in team environments
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Multiple NDT certifications preferred
  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, refinery, or power generation environments preferred
  • TWIC card and OSHA certifications are a plus
  • Rope access, PAUT, or advanced NDT experience is a plus
