Position Overview:
The NDT Inspector performs ultrasonic inspections to detect internal defects in components and materials, ensuring compliance with industry standards and supporting engineering and production teams in maintaining quality and safety.

Location:

On-site in Euclid, Ohio

 

Your Day to Day as a NDT Inspector:

  • Perform ultrasonic inspections using ultrasonic testing equipment to evaluate materials for internal defects and discontinuities.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications to determine inspection requirements.
  • Set up and calibrate ultrasonic equipment to ensure optimal performance and accurate results.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate records of inspection activities, findings, and results in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with NDT Engineers and other stakeholders to discuss inspection findings and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory guidelines when handling ultrasonic testing equipment and materials, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Assist others with inspection techniques and safety practices.
  • Obtain and maintain UT certification in accordance with company qualification requirements and within company-defined timelines. Additional certifications in NDT methods as directed by the company (VT, PT, MT).
  • Report inspection results clearly and accurately through documentation, process sheets, and logs.
  • Participate in audits and quality assurance initiatives to ensure compliance with industry standards and continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated on advancements in ultrasonic testing technology and methodologies to enhance skill set and inspection capabilities.

Required Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Active internal VT/PT/MT certification or commercial/industry-recognized Level II UT certification (ASNT, NAVSEA or equivalent).
  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in NDT and/or completion of a recognized NDT certification program.
  • Knowledge of ultrasonic testing principles, equipment, and standards is preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret complex technical documents.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively report findings.

 Pay:  $$41.14

The starting rate for this position in Ohio (US-OH) is $$41.14 per hour. The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, retirement and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment and are subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
