Summary of Position: Recruit and coach student athletes in the hockey program. Coordinate recruitment activities to ensure NCAA compliance in student contacts and recruiting budget. Assist with a variety of duties related to the hockey program.

Required Work Experience: Previous collegiate or professional coaching or playing experience in the sport of ice hockey.

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: Hockey coaching experience at a Division I institution.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Recruit top-caliber student-athletes to the varsity hockey program.
Coordinate line changes and/or analyze opponents' techniques and systems from the press box during varsity games.
Instruct and/or assist with marketing and/or administrative duties during summer hockey camps.
Perform video analysis on opposing teams and work with coaches to prepare scouting reports.
Analyze FSU team videos to be used in coaching the team.
Ensure NCAA compliance in hockey recruitment activities by maintaining appropriate documentation.
Coordinate and oversee the identification of teams to evaluate timely prospect lists and to ensure that visitations are in compliance with NCAA standards.
Promote the public image of Bulldog Hockey by coordinating and/or attending a variety of promotional events and programs.
Coordinate coaching of the defensive or offensive team, in addition to general assistant coaching duties, if asked.
Prepare NCAA-required in-season and out-of-season paperwork.
Report directly to the Head Hockey Coach and perform any additional duties assigned by the Head Hockey Coach.
Responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of designated information.
Operates a university or personal vehicle safely while carrying out job responsibilities. Will authorize, pursuant to university policies and procedures, a driving record check, and will meet the driving authorization requirements through the course of employment in a position where you are authorized to drive a vehicle as part of our duties.
Carries out responsibilities in accordance with university policies and applicable laws.
Cultivates an environment of belonging that values, respects, supports, and celebrates individual similarities and differences, allowing students, faculty, and staff to thrive authentically.
Support, promote, and develop initiatives for University student enrollment and retention initiatives.
