Job Title: Assistant Coach (Seasonal) - Men's Lacrosse

Department: Athletics     

Reports to: HeadCoach - Men's Lacrosse

Status: Seasonal, Non-Benefit Eligible

Location: Lisle Campus

Rate: Stipend amount depending on assignment duration (3 positions)

Position Summary: TheAthletics Department at Benedictine University seeks an assistant coach for Men'sLacrosse. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to assisting the headcoach in all aspects of coaching, practice preparation, game preparation,strategy, recruitment of prospective student-athletes, strength training andscheduling in support of the Men's Lacrosse program. Adherence to NCAA DivisionIII rules and regulations, supporting the philosophy, goals and mission of thecollege and its intercollegiate athletics program, as well as adherence todepartmental, university, NACC, and NCAA policies and procedures is required.

Essential JobResponsibilities:      
1.  Assist in the planning, organization andadministration of practices.

2.  Assist in game preparation and theimplementation of game day strategies.

3.  Assist with recruiting qualified prospectivestudent-athletes to the program.

4.  Oversee and supervise strength andconditioning component of athletes training regime.
OtherFunctions:

*Develop relationships within and positively promote Benedictine University and its surrounding community.
*Attend departmental and University related meetings and events as directed.
*Represent the Department of Athletics with sportsmanship, integrity and a high degree of professionalism.                                     
*Maintain a positive student athlete assessment for program from student athletes. 
*Maintain positive relationships with alumni, parents,students, officials, volunteers and fans.
