Position Summary:

The Cannon College of Arts and Sciences at Wingate University invites applications for a one year Visiting Instructor position in History to start August 1, 2026.

Duties/Responsibilities:

This is a teaching position in the discipline of History with no research expectations and minimal service obligations. The teaching load is four courses (12 contact hours) in both the fall and spring semesters.

Required Qualifications:

A terminal degree and teaching experience in History are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Interest and experience teaching general education courses is preferred. Candidates broadly trained in World History are encouraged to apply.
