Nc Pass information

What is an NC PASS?

NC PASS refers to the North Carolina Public Access Secure Services program, which provides secure online access to various government services and information. Jobs related to NC PASS typically involve managing, supporting, or developing secure digital systems for North Carolina state agencies. These roles may include IT specialists, security analysts, or customer service representatives who help users access and utilize the platform. The goal is to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable access to public services for North Carolina residents.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an NC PASS coordinator?

To thrive as an NC PASS Coordinator, you need expertise in student assessment procedures, data analysis, and a solid understanding of educational standards, typically supported by a degree in education or a related field. Familiarity with the NC PASS system, student information systems, and assessment software is essential. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and clear communication help ensure accurate coordination and reporting. These skills are crucial for maintaining assessment integrity, supporting student achievement, and complying with state education requirements.

What types of teams or departments do NC PASS professionals typically collaborate with, and how does this impact daily workflow?

NC PASS professionals, who work with the North Carolina Pre-Admission Screening and Resident Review (PASRR) system, often collaborate closely with healthcare providers, social workers, mental health specialists, and state agencies. This teamwork ensures that individuals with mental illness or intellectual disabilities are appropriately screened before admission to Medicaid-certified facilities. Daily responsibilities may include coordinating with hospitals, long-term care facilities, and case managers to gather necessary documentation and facilitate timely decision-making. Effective collaboration enhances the efficiency of the screening process and helps ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
