Job description

Job Summary:

Responsible for the efficient operation of the machine to produce parts in accordance to customer drawings, internal sketches and/or other forms of instructions.

Essential functions:

  • Capable to set and operate programs and machinery
  • Must be able to follow instructions and able to read production tickets
  • Must be able to demonstrate ability to perform visual inspection utilizing measuring tapes.
  • Ensure correct material is prepared for scheduled orders according to work order information.
  • Obtain knowledge of door styles, sizes, tolerances and conversion from millimeters to inches.
  • Attention to detail
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
  • Supports Safety and good housekeeping in maintaining a safe work place environment.
  • Performs other related duties as required

Knowledge, Skill and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to use and read a tape measure

Job Type: Full-time, Day Shift

Physical Requirements:

Constant standing (8-9 hours daily), bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting a minimum of 25 pounds.
