This position is based at our Arden, NC facility. *The Electrical Technician I position is a key role in the final inspection and functional testing of company products. As an Electrical Technician I you will create a test plan, electronically / electrically test, and inspect electrical components and connections in various applications; (structures, units, panels, panelboards, component parts, controls, and assemblies) in order to verify correct product function. At times you will need to perform troubleshooting and complete, or document needed repairs prior to shipping. The ability to follow diagrams, schematics, and various work instructions in line with engineered specifications, including test and working procedures will allow you to be productive in this role. In this role, you will: โข Follow verbal and written instructions, drawings, and specifications to set up, inspect, and test equipment. โข Perform mechanical, electrical, insulation, and sequence testing; inspect assemblies, panels, and components for quality and functionality. โข Troubleshoot test failures, determine root causes, and coordinate corrective actions with Engineering, Quality, and supervision. โข Verify customer orders for completeness and support customer inspectors during testing and inspection activities. โข Recommend and support improvements to assembly, wiring, calibration, testing procedures, and ensure required changes and repairs are completed. โข Maintain test equipment, calibration status, records, and reports. โข Comply with all safety, PPE, hygiene, and housekeeping requirements. โข Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Required (Basic) Qualifications: โข Requires a high school diploma /GED from an accredited institution. โข Minimum 2 yearsโ work experience working in power distribution or electrical distribution. โข Previous experience in troubleshooting complex electrical circuits. โข Able to read and interpret electrical schematics. โข Our company will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
