Job description

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking dedicated and passionate Child Welfare Social Workers (CWF) to support the Department of Social Services (DSS) in Scotland County, NC.

Contract Details:

  • 13-week assignment
  • Contract Extension Options Available
  • $30/hr starting
  • Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct child welfare assessments and investigations
  • Work with children, families, foster parents, and community partners to ensure child safety and well-being
  • Develop and implement case plans focused on family preservation and permanency
  • Maintain accurate and timely case documentation
  • Participate in court proceedings, family meetings, and multidisciplinary team collaborations
  • Ensure compliance with DSS, state, and federal child welfare regulations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work (BSW) or Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW)
  • North Carolina Child Welfare Pre-Service Training (Collaborative Training)
  • Minimum of 1 yr of Child Welfare, DSS, CPS, Foster Care, or Family Services experience
  • Strong assessment, crisis intervention, and case management skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities
  • Compassionate, adaptable, and team-oriented professional
