Customer Service Representative

Location: Montrose, CO, 2200 Industrial Drive

About the Role:
Bruin Waste Management is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and passionate about providing exceptional service to our customers. This position plays a key role in assisting customers with setting up accounts, billing questions, and general inquiries while maintaining accuracy and professionalism in all interactions.


Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Basic math, computer, and keyboarding skills

  • Legible handwriting and strong attention to detail

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Spanish is a plus!

  • Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

  • Must represent Bruin Waste in a professional and positive manner at all times

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Colorado driver’s license


Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist customers promptly, politely, and professionally in person, by email, and by phone

  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of all customer records and accounts

  • Post payments, process deposits, and assist with managing billing cycles (monthly, quarterly, 28-day)

  • Prepare dispatch tickets, process delinquent notices, and resolve customer concerns effectively

  • Compose and distribute customer communications regarding service routes, pricing, or schedule updates

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date office files, phone lists, and pricing sheets

  • Coordinate with IT to ensure system pricing accuracy

  • Process autopay and portal payments and run database reports to track services

  • Perform receptionist, telephone operator, and dispatcher duties as needed

  • Participate in company training and meetings; assist with staff training on customer communication

  • Support teamwork and collaboration across all departments to meet company goals
