Job description

Job Summary:

The Senior Program Manager is responsible for the delivery and performance of company Products and Services as well as the overall customer relationship.  Their responsibility starts at Program inception and can continue through delivery and field performance.  This role ensures adherence to master plans and schedules, develops solutions to program problems, and directs work of incumbents assigned to the program from various departments. The individual will be expected to interface with other departments to prepare cost justifications, recommend priorities, generate schedules and develop solutions to customer issues. This individual ensures completion of detailed schedules and action item lists for projects from initiation to delivery and keeps management informed of any deviations. This individual monitors status of projects including: cost, timing, and staffing; and requires familiarization with project monitoring and reporting systems.  Responsibilities also may include aiding in the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes and coordinating preparations of proposals, plans, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts. This position relies on previous experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The Senior Program Manager has the ability to consistently apply the Duties and Responsibilities in a consistent manner across increasing levels of responsibility. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Daily management of team execution 
  • Daily management of customer (development, delivery & ongoing support) 
  • Daily management of the program schedule including any necessary modifications to the team and execution strategies 
  • Creation and maintenance of the program planning worksheets 
  • Daily management of the program suppliers 
  • Proposal creation and development as necessary 
  • Represent the company during onsite/offsite customer meetings and advise Management accordingly 
  • Prepare presentations and communicate status on a regular basis to internal team members as well as customers as necessary 
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned  

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field 
  • 6+ years of experience in a similar role in performance management and/or delivery of company products and services 
  • 3+ years of experience in a Senior (or above) program management role with demonstrated ability to influence technical direction and contribute to strategic decision-making 
  • 4-6 years of work experience in a professional environment 
  • Experience managing and delivering complex programs within the aerospace industry 
  • Prior project or program management experience 
  • Experience working with cross-functional groups 
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular relevant field 

Benefits

The starting pay range for this position is $110,000 - 127,000 per year however, the base pay offered may vary depending on the level of the position, skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location.
