Job description

Our client is a globally known food manufacturer with multiple locations in the US. Due to growth, seeking a Plant Engineer to join the Engineering/Maintenance staff at the plant in NJ. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Implement and optimize automation and controls systems supporting high-speed packaging operations, improving reliability, efficiency, and production performance.

  • Program, troubleshoot, and maintain Allen-Bradley PLCs, FactoryTalk HMI/SCADA, and related industrial automation technologies.

  • Lead engineering projects from planning through implementation, coordinating budgets, vendors, contractors, and cross-functional teams to meet objectives.

  • Support maintenance by diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and controls issues while driving preventive maintenance and root cause corrective actions.

  • Ensure compliance with food safety, OSHA, and quality standards while leveraging SQL and automation data to improve operational performance.

Position reports to VP of Operations.

Ideal candidates for Plant Engineer will possess the following

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering

  • LEAN Six Sigma certified a plus (LSSGB, LSSBB, etc.)

  • Experience with PLC's, SCADA and automation

  • 6+ years experience in a food production or high-volume processing plant

  • Understanding of OSHA standards and GMP

Salary up to $120,000/yr. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k, FSA, etc.


Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year
