Schedule: 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Position Overview

Challenge Enterprises of North Florida, Inc. is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Truck Driver to support warehouse and material distribution operations at Naval Station Mayport.

In this role, you will receive, verify, sort, transport, and deliver materials supporting Littoral Combat Ships (LCS). The position also assists with inventory documentation, receipt processing, and FACET scanning to support Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) compliance.

The ideal candidate has Department of Defense warehousing or distribution experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to safely operate applicable vehicles while working in both warehouse and outdoor environments.

What You'll Do

Transportation & Material Handling

  • Pick up, receive, verify, sort, and transport materials between designated warehouse locations, Naval Station Mayport facilities, BAE Systems Ship Repair, and assigned ships.
  • Deliver materials to ships and designated locations within required timeframes.
  • Safely operate assigned vehicles while maintaining all required licenses, certificates, and permits.
  • Open shipping containers and verify quantities, including checking for multipacks and identifying discrepancies.
  • Assist with retrieving and transferring ship materials, excess materials, and other designated cargo.

Inventory & Documentation

  • Assist the Project Supervisor with preparing and maintaining inventory documentation.
  • Verify received materials and report discrepancies for corrective action.
  • Assist with the daily Cargo On-Hand Report.
  • Track and report materials delivered to ships.
  • Complete required receipt and document scanning using FACET.
  • Assist with weekly and monthly material movement and inventory reporting.

Compliance & Safety

  • Follow all Department of Defense, Navy, agency, and workplace safety requirements.
  • Complete annual Cyber Awareness training.
  • Maintain required background investigation eligibility.
  • Maintain eligibility for a Navy-issued Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Safely perform work in both indoor and outdoor environments throughout the year.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of Department of Defense warehousing or distribution experience
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and all applicable certificates or permits required for the type and class of vehicle operated
  • Clean three-year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Ability to pass a Department of Defense background investigation
  • Ability to obtain and maintain eligibility for a Navy-issued Common Access Card (CAC)
  • Ability to meet the required background investigation requirements for the position
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently
  • Ability to use computer systems and web-based applications, including Electronic Retrograde Management System (eRMS) and NAVSUP One Touch Supply
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work indoors and outdoors year-round. Employees must also be able to twist, stoop, bend, reach, pull, stand, and walk for up to eight hours per day.
