Job description

PRN Family Practice Physician needs for Portsmouth, VA Naval Medical Center

The Provider shall provide personnel care services in support of the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, VA. The primary site of service will be located at naval Medical Center Portsmouth, VA, and the Branch Medical/Health Clinics (BMC/BHC)and/or or the Tricare Clinics:

BHC Boone Clinic
BHC Oceana
TPC Virginia Beach
TPC Chesapeake
BHC Northwest
The Provider shall provide personnel care services in support of the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, VA. The primary site of service will be located at naval Medical Center Portsmouth, VA, and the Branch Medical/Health Clinics (BMC/BHC)and/or or the Tricare Clinics:
BHC Oceana
TPC Chesapeake

QUALIFICATIONS:
The Health Care Worker (HCW) shall possess and maintain the minimum qualifications; Possess a board certification in Family Medicine as determined by the American Board of Family Medicine.
Possess a minimum of 1 year experience with the preceding 2 years.

Current ACLS certification and DEA.

Provide 2 Letters of recommendation written within the last 2 years attesting to the HCW's clinical skills. 1 letter from a supervisor and the 2nd letter from either clinic or hospital administrator, or practicing physician. Please make sure to include name, title phone number, date of reference, address and signature providing reference.

Services required per week as follows:

NMCP (Fore and Family Medicine Clinic- forty hours Monday through Friday between the hour of 7:00am to 7:00pm. Clinic is closed on Federal Holidays

BHC Boone- 85.5 Hours,Monday through Sunday between 7:00am and 7:00pm. Clinic is open on the following Federal Holidays. Martin Luther King Jr's Birthday, Presidents Day, Columbus Day and Veterans Day.

BHC Oceana- forty hours Monday through Friday between the hour of 7:00am to 7:00pm. Clinic is closed on Federal Holidays

TPC Virginia Beach- 160 hours, Monday through Sunday between the hour of 7:00am to 7:00pm. Clinic is open on all Federal Holidays and service will be required on those days.

TPC Chesapeake- 69.5 hours, Monday through Saturday between the hour of 7:00am to 7:00pm. Clinic is open on the following Federal Holidays; Martin Luther King Jr's Birthday, President's Day, Columbus Day, and Veteran's Day.

BHC Northwest- Forty hours, Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00am and 4:00pm. Clinic is closed on Federal Holidays.


This requirement WILL NOT be required to provide OB Services.
