Objective
Training Support Specialist will be responsible for analysis and report development to support training and manpower requirements documents and provide support for large, diverse, and complex adult education and vocational training systems. Qualified candidates should be local to Pensacola, FL or surrounding areas to be considered for this position.
Job Description
โ€ข Research current educational technologies to ensure material is appropriate for intended audience, environment, and context.
โ€ข Provide training in structured writing, effective writing techniques, and test writing principles to course writers.
โ€ข Coordinate and plan a variety of professional development workshops in support of CSFE mission.
โ€ข Conduct performance analysis and training needs assessments to assess client's situation and identify critical performance gaps.
โ€ข Employ techniques of systems thinking, job design, and process management to prescribe proper interventions.
โ€ข Provide facilitation support for internal and external clients.
โ€ข Create original course and testing material by conferring with SME and researching technical publication on the information to be used and writes expository material.
โ€ข Maintain professional development supplies and materials.
โ€ข Address issues regarding system application and functionality.
Employment Status
Full-time (40 hours per week). Salaried. Exempt.
Qualifications
โ€ข 5 years' experience or related experience performing all aspects of training system analysis and design, leading a multi-disciplinary training design implementation team.
โ€ข Active/Current, minimum "Secret" Security Clearance.
โ€ข Knowledgeable in the use of government (Navy) training doctrine, manuals, and systems, and any subsequent guidance, and, or requirements directing curriculum development, and maintenance.
โ€ข Curriculum development and maintenance software courseware development authoring tools and web-based collaboration tools - Microsoft Office M365 Suite, Adobe Acrobat and Captivate, and Moodle.
โ€ข Strong written and verbal communication skills to include the ability to read, interpret, organize, and synthesize source material into well-written, concise technical style reports in approved formats.
โ€ข Experience performing all aspects of training system analysis and design, including Job Task Analysis, as well as leading a multi-disciplinary training design implementation team.
Work Environment and Travel
โ€ข This position is at Naval Education and Training Command (NETC) on Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola, FL. Qualified candidates should be local to Pensacola, FL, or surrounding areas to be considered for this position.
โ€ข Ability to lift items and/or equipment up to 50 lbs. on limited occasions.
