This is where YOU fit in: the Navy Lodge is in need of a Guest Service Representative to answer the call; a team player who is dedicated to supporting our local Naval community, and operational successes on a day-to-day basis. You will perform a variety of tasks which involve making the Navy Lodge a home away from home for our valued guests. Your work will make an impact and support how our organization serves the best customer - our Military patrons and their families.
So, what does a typical day look like? What does it take to succeed?
  • Serves as first point of contact with guests; assists guests with all requests, in person or via telephone.

  • Making, confirming, and/or cancelling room reservations, collecting payments and presenting lodging receipts, check-in/check-out process, authorized patron verification, guest room assignments, credit card processing etc.

  • Prepares Close Bank Report and receipts at the end of each shift in accordance with established procedures.

  • Prepares end of day front desk reconciliations identifying and addressing any discrepancies made throughout the day.

The Qualifiers:
  • One-year of experience in progressively responsible work related to position to be filled.

  • One-year general office clerical experience

  • Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to perform job duties.

  • Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: One year of general office clerical experience that demonstrated the ability to perform clerical duties satisfactorily.
AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year progressively responsible experience related to the position to be filled.
OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Study completed in a college university or junior college above the high school level may be substituted on the basis of one-half academic year of study for 6 months of experience.
