Senior Manager Consultant – Private Equity Finance & Audit Leadership Role Summary Our client is seeking a Senior Manager Consultant with deep, hands?on expertise in Private Equity fund accounting, audit leadership, and financial reporting. This individual will operate as a strategic advisor to executive stakeholders, driving high?impact initiatives across fund operations, financial governance, and audit readiness. This role requires a CPA, proven experience working directly for a Private Equity firm, and the ability to influence senior leadership in a fast?moving, complex environment.

Core Responsibilities Lead high?level advisory work across Private Equity fund accounting, financial reporting, and audit strategy. Oversee and enhance fund?level financial controls, governance frameworks, and reporting infrastructure. Advise CFOs, Controllers, and Fund Operations leaders on best?in?class Private Equity accounting practices, including capital activity, fee structures, carried interest, and waterfall mechanics.

Direct audit preparation and execution, ensuring alignment with U.S. GAAP, fair value standards, and investment company guidance. Evaluate and optimize fund operations, including process redesign, system enhancements, and operational scalability.

Provide executive?level insights on fund performance, valuation methodologies, and portfolio?level financial analytics. Partner cross?functionally with tax, legal, and investment teams to ensure seamless execution across the fund lifecycle. Support strategic initiatives such as fund launches, system implementations, and organizational transformation.

Required Qualifications CPA preferred Direct employment experience within a Private Equity firm (not solely as an external auditor). Significant experience in audit (Big 4 or equivalent) with a focus on Private Equity or alternative investments. Advanced fund accounting expertise, including NAV oversight, capital activity, and complex fund structures.

7–12+ years of progressive experience in Private Equity finance, audit, or fund operations. Strong command of U.S. GAAP, ASC 820, and investment company accounting.
