Description
Two undergraduate research interns will support a cross-platform natural language processing study examining how communication source and platform shape public sentiment during hurricane events. Working with real social media data, interns will collect and process Reddit datasets, apply AI-based sentiment analysis tools, and contribute to a peer-reviewed publication.
Examples of Duties
  • Collect, process, and analyze social media data using a combination of automated tools and AI-based natural language processing methods
  • ?Apply computational text analysis techniques to identify patterns in public sentiment and discussion topics across platforms
  • Document findings and contribute to the preparation of a peer-reviewed conference paper

Minimum Qualifications
