What is a natural bridge?

Natural Bridge jobs typically refer to employment opportunities at or around natural bridge formations, which are naturally occurring rock arches or bridges found in nature. These jobs can include park rangers, tour guides, maintenance staff, conservationists, and hospitality workers at attractions near natural bridges. Employees may be responsible for preserving the natural environment, educating visitors, providing guided tours, or maintaining the facilities. Working in such settings often requires a passion for nature, good communication skills, and, in some cases, physical fitness.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a natural bridge engineer?

To thrive as a Natural Bridge Engineer, you need a solid background in civil or structural engineering, geology, and environmental science, typically supported by a relevant engineering degree and professional licensure. Familiarity with CAD software, structural analysis tools, and geotechnical investigation systems is essential. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication are vital soft skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders. These skills ensure the safe and sustainable design, assessment, and preservation of natural bridge structures.

What are some common challenges faced by park rangers working at natural bridge sites?

Park rangers at natural bridge sites often face challenges such as managing large crowds during peak seasons, ensuring visitor safety around potentially hazardous natural structures, and balancing conservation efforts with public access. They are also responsible for educating visitors about the ecological and historical significance of the site while enforcing regulations to protect the natural environment. Effective communication and quick decision-making are essential skills in addressing emergencies and preserving the integrity of the natural bridge.

Job description

About Trademark Property Company
Trademark Property Company, based in Fort Worth, Texas, is a full-service real estate firm specializing in the development, investment, and management of mixed-use, retail, multifamily, and office properties.
We aren't just about square footage or leasing rates. We are in the business of placemaking and turning ordinary spaces into community hubs-places where people want to be, connect, and experience something special.
Our business is focused on adding value to assets, but our passion is adding value to communities. We don't just manage properties; we curate experiences. If you want a career that is as dynamic and vibrant as the places we create, you're looking in the right place.
We aim for our culture to truly reflect our purpose and guiding principles. Our Purpose is to be extraordinary stewards, enhance communities and enrich lives. Our guiding principles:
  • Have Vision
  • Engage People
  • Make a Difference
  • Create Value
  • Build Partnerships

Do you like what you're reading? Nice, but enough about us, let's talk about you.
Are You...
  • Passionate: You take deep pride in operational excellence, viewing a well-maintained property as the canvas upon which great community experiences are built.
  • A Partner: You are a natural bridge-builder who effectively collaborates with tenants, management, and contractors, handling tough conversations with tact and professionalism.
  • Growth-Minded: You don't just patch problems; you actively develop preventive frameworks and mentor junior engineers to elevate the entire team's capability.

The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and leadership-driven Lead Engineer to spearhead our physical plant operations and engineering team at Atlantic Station. In this full-time, non-exempt role, you will act as the crucial link between property management and hands-on site execution. You will balance complex, advanced troubleshooting across multiple trades-including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems-with daily supervisory duties. If you are a self-starter with at least five years of deep technical experience and a proven ability to lead and inspire a frontline team, we invite you to build your career with us.
  • Job Type: Full-time, Salaried, Non-Exempt
  • Reports To: Sr. Operations Manager

What You'll Do
1. Team Leadership & Work Management
  • Frontline Supervision: Lead and supervise the property engineering staff, strategically assigning, scheduling, and prioritizing daily work orders and operational functions.
  • Central Liaison: Serve as a dependable point of contact for staff, management, tenants, and outside vendors; promptly address issues and navigate difficult conversations with a customer-service mindset.
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to company protocols, health mandates, and local, state, and federal safety/regulatory codes (including OSHA).

2. Technical Maintenance & Specialized Repairs
  • HVAC & Plant Systems: Diagnose, repair, and maintain advanced mechanical machinery, including heating/cooling units, hot water boilers, make-up air units, cooling towers, and booster pumps.
  • Plumbing & Electrical: Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair commercial piping, fixtures, faulty switches, wiring, and ballasts; routinely clear main line blockages and manage basic building alarm systems.
  • Structural Carpentry & Upkeep: Execute routine-to-difficult carpentry tasks, including repairing or installing door jambs, commercial closers, locks, and ceiling grids. Perform professional-grade painting and drywall/plaster patching as needed.

3. Preventive Maintenance & Facility Inspections
  • Framework Development: Plan, schedule, and execute robust preventive maintenance calendars across all core building systems.
  • Proactive Auditing: Conduct regular facility and machinery inspections to catch, diagnose, and mitigate building failures before they impact operations or the guest experience.

Requirements
What You Bring to the Table
Education & Experience
  • Foundational Background: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
  • Proven Tenure: A minimum of five (5) years of progressive commercial facilities maintenance or engineering experience, with a minimum of one (1) year of direct supervisor or team leadership experience.
  • Licensure: A valid driver's license is required.

Technical Mastery & Certifications
  • Trade Expertise: Complete proficiency across commercial electrical distribution, mechanical plumbing, HVAC troubleshooting, advanced carpentry, and blueprint literacy.
  • Preferred Credentials: Active vocational certifications in HVAC (EPA Universal), Electrical, or Plumbing are highly desirable.

Physical & Personal Attributes
  • Stamina & Strength: Ability to lift up to 75 pounds independently and perform demanding physical labor for extended durations across diverse indoor and outdoor weather conditions.
  • Availability: Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and remain on-call as needed to support property operations and emergencies.
  • Core Competencies: Self-motivated team player with strong project management skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a high degree of personal accountability.

Oh, You Want the Perks?
We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package designed to support your health, financial security, and work-life balance.
  • Medical, Dental, & Vision: Coverage through United Healthcare.
  • Disability & Life Insurance: Employer-paid short-term/long-term disability and life & AD&D insurance.
  • 401k: With a company match of 50% on the first 5% of your contributions.
  • Paid Time Off (PTO): 15 days of PTO are accrued from your first full pay period.
  • Paid Holidays: You will receive 10 paid holidays per year, plus a paid birthday holiday and 2 paid volunteer days.
  • Additional Company-Paid Benefits: Access to HealthJoy for telehealth and advocacy services, and Rocket Lawyer for legal services.

Does this sound like a place you'd want to work? If so, we invite you to apply!
