Job description

Role Overview

The AI-Native Software Engineer, Cloud (AWS) will join a security engineering team responsible for building tools that discover, mitigate, and report on security risk across a large technology organization's applications, platforms, and services. This role calls for a full-stack engineer with deep AWS expertise who can architect scalable, always-on platforms while modernizing legacy systems, all while working in an AI-native, spec-driven development workflow. The engineer will partner closely with leadership and fellow engineers to deliver industry-leading security tooling for enterprise customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and build always-on API platforms that scale to enterprise demand
  • Modernize legacy applications and monolithic architectures to meet modern development and security needs
  • Prototype and evolve security capabilities to keep pace with AI-driven software development
  • Partner with engineering leadership to define and execute agile development plans
  • Develop, test, deploy, and support production-grade security tooling and services
  • Evaluate designs critically, including AI-generated code, to catch security gaps and architectural weaknesses before they reach production

Required Qualifications -

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent demonstrated experience
  • Demonstrated fluency in applying AI technologies across the software development lifecycle, including breaking down user stories, AI-assisted coding and testing, automated defect resolution, and deployment of tested software
  • Deep, hands-on experience building and deploying production systems on AWS (e.g., EC2, Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS/DynamoDB, API Gateway), with a track record of customer-facing applications in production
  • Server-side development experience with Python, Java, NodeJS, or similar technologies
  • Client-side web development experience using React, Backbone, native JavaScript, or comparable technologies
  • Expertise building secure, large-scale systems using fault-tolerant technologies such as Elasticsearch, CockroachDB, Oracle, MongoDB, and Kafka

Preferred Qualifications - 

  • AWS certification (e.g., Solutions Architect, Developer)
  • CISSP, CCSP, or similar security certification
