Their goal is to ensure customers are protected and understand their insurance choices.

Job description

Are you a true hunter located in Southern California or the LA area? The kind of sales pro who doesn't wait for leads but creates them?
We're looking for a field-based Account Executive who can engage busy insurance agencies, deliver value fast, and convert conversations into partnerships - even when buyers aren't actively shopping.
This role isn't for the average closer. It's for someone who thrives on building a book of business through cold outreach, face-to-face visits, and industry relationships.
What You'll Be Selling
As an Outside Account Executive, you'll represent gotoPremiumFinance, a wholly owned subsidiary of Input 1; a leading digital billing and payments platform built specifically for the property and casualty insurance industry.
gotoPremiumFinance is a leading nationwide insurance premium finance company that helps agencies and their insureds improve cash flow and close more business. In addition to premium financing, you'll also have the opportunity to introduce our digital payment solution, giving insurance agents the tools they need to streamline and simplify the insurance purchasing process.
This is a true hunter role. You'll proactively identify and pursue new opportunities, open doors with net-new prospects, and create demand where it doesn't yet exist. Success in this position means uncovering client needs through strategic discovery, educating agencies on the impact of modern financing and digital payments, and positioning our solutions as mission-critical tools for accelerating their growth.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Own your territory and schedule - this is a true field sales role
  • Conduct 8-12 in-person agency visits/day, 4 days per week
  • Prospect, qualify, and close new business (outbound first)
  • Deliver product value with clarity, confidence, and business impact
  • Maintain activity, pipeline, and conversion tracking in HubSpot
  • Travel to industry events, trade shows, and conferences

What You Bring
  • 5-7 years of business development or outside sales experience (insurance, financial services, field sales, or related)
  • Proven ability to generate your own leads and close without MQLs
  • Familiarity with insurance agents or small business B2B buyers is a strong plus
  • High outbound tolerance - comfortable cold calling, walking in, and handling objections
  • Self-motivated, confident communicator with sharp time management
  • Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, and CRMs (HubSpot a plus)

What Success Looks Like
  • Meet or exceed annual sales volume targets (gotoPremiumFinance & PaaS)
  • Build and retain strong relationships with agencies and agency groups
  • Become a trusted resource in your market - not just a vendor
  • Embody our core values: Integrity, Respect, Flexibility, Self-Evaluation, Knowledge, and Compassion

Compensation & Travel
  • Competitive base + commission (uncapped)
  • Travel required: In-field 4 days/week + regional/national industry events
  • Must be comfortable with both car and air travel
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs (conference materials, demo kits, etc.)

Qualifications:
  • Preferred bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years of business development experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with CRM applications like HubSpot or the ability to quickly learn.
  • Tech-savvy and adaptable to new technologies.

If an offer is made, the pay rate determinations will take into account relevant market data and the applicant's prior experience, education, industry knowledge, and other qualifications directly related to the position to ensure internal equity.
