General Description The City of Hamilton Police Department is currently recruiting for Police Officers. All testing with the National Testing Network (NTN) must be completed by the close date, Sunday, September 13, 2026. The exam provided by the National Testing Network will be used as the civil service exam.

APPLICANTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR SCHEDULING AND TAKING THE NTN TEST PRIOR TO THE CLOSE DATE. To take the test, go here: https://nationaltestingnetwork.com/publicsafetyjobs/ then: Under the Header- Find Jobs, click on "Law Enforcement Jobs" Scroll Down to "Ohio" and find the City of Hamilton Check mark the box next to the posting Left hand of screen will show a red "Continue" box Follow instructions on website. ** IF YOU HAVE TAKEN THE NTN TEST IN THE PAST YEAR (SINCE AUGUST 1, 2025), YOU CAN TRANSFER YOUR PASSING SCORE TO THE CITY OF HAMILTON VIA THE NTN WEBSITE** If you previously submitted your exam score to the City of Hamilton for a Police Officer recruitment on or after August 1, 2025 and want to be considered for this recruitment, please email Brittany Chapman at brittany.chapman@hamilton-oh.gov to have your current NTN score resent to the City of Hamilton

All testing must be completed prior to the application closing date. In the case of tied score on the test, rank will be determined by the date and time application was received. A passing score is necessary to be scheduled for the Physical Fitness Test (PFT).
