Description:

For over a century, NRF has been a voice for every retailer and every retail job, educating, inspiring and communicating the powerful impact retail has on local communities and global economies.


General Function

Under general supervision, assists with the management of the sponsorship program for conferences, conventions, and any other sponsored events. Responsible for maintaining contractor relationships and overseeing related communications to the sponsor community.


Essential Functions

  • Leverage knowledge to research and price sponsorship opportunities, and make recommendations
  • Research and compile bids from vendors on sponsorship elements needed to fulfill contractual obligations
  • Help develop sponsorship sales portal for each event
  • Track status of sponsorship items sold, on hold, and released in Smartsheet
  • Produce regular sponsorship reports
  • Audit the internal sales system (MapYourShow), sponsorship sales portal (Envision Pro), and departmental tracking system (Smartsheet) to ensure alignment between three systems
  • Responsible for proofing sponsor recognition on print and digital signage, websites, mobile apps, and other assets
  • Ensure NRF Event websites have current sponsorship information/logos
  • Communicate with sponsors on specific sponsorships and/or sponsored elements
  • Manage auditing, tracking, and cataloguing sponsor-related freight prior to events
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

  • College degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Minimum 2 years of tradeshow or administrative experience
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, projects and priorities efficiently and professionally
  • Strong computer skills including database management, Excel, Smartsheet, etc.
  • Extremely strong organizational skills, dedication to quality, and a team player
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Commitment to customer service and customer focus
  • Ability to identify, work with, and manage outside vendors
  • Ability to be flexible in working varied and additional hours, with occasional travel required


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with event or tradeshow management platforms (e.g., MapYourShow, Envision Pro, or similar)
  • Prior experience in sponsorship sales, sponsorship fulfillment, or exhibit/event operations
  • Experience proofing sponsor or brand recognition across print, digital, and web assets
  • Local or regional candidates preferred

Location: Washington, D.C. (In-office 3 days a week)
