Job Function

1. Assist Program Director in planning, organizing, developing, scheduling, observations, monitoring childcare, special events, and facilities.

2. Assist Program Director in planning, organizing, developing, scheduling, and maintaining health and safety of day to day operations at all locations.

3. Conduct and attends a variety of training seminars, staff meetings, community and planning meetings as needed.

4. Perform administrative and clerical functions, carries out routine office procedures, e.g. types, files, copies documents, picks up mail from Dacoma office and schedules and confirms appointments with participants as needed.

5. Uses computer in all aspects of position e.g., correspondence, meeting minutes, schedules, quality assurance forms, absentee reports of staff and children and program data.

6. Be familiar with all departments of the program in order to be able to interact and assist staff. Be familiar with Minimum Standards &NAEYC compliance, regulations/guidelines of quality child care.

7. Completes and oversee the enrollment of participants in the program.

8. Work in collaboration with MIS and National R&E departments to ensure all data is input, accurate and tracked in the appropriate database program.

9. Ensure program goals are met to meet the needs of all families enrolled in PCEP.

10. Be familiar and knowledgeable of the PCEP Curriculum.

11. Assist the Program Sr. Director, as needed, to complete designated tasks to support the department.

12. As needed be able to fill in as Parent Educator, Toy Instructor or Early Child Education Teacher.

13. Able to travel for business related activities.

14. Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education

Required: AA Degree in Early Child Education or related field.

Able to obtain CDA within a year of employment


Experience

Required: One (1) year related work experience in a childcare classroom.

Preferred: Four years of experience within AVANCE system or four years management or supervision, working with high-risk children and families.
