DUTIES:
Western Growers Association is seeking an H-2A Services Manager for full-time employment at 6501 Irvine Center Drive, Suite 100, Irvine, California 92618. The position is organized within the Western Growers Legal Department, which provides legal support to the non-profit association and its members for legal matters and labor services. Of significance, this role manages a department that is responsible for the submission and approval of numerous H-2A petitions per year on behalf of the association's members. Manage, supervise, and provide leadership for a Senior Case Manager, and one to three labor service coordinator(s) who support preparation and filing of job orders, immigration forms, company letters, recruitment reports, and other legal documents necessary to successfully apply for H-2A certification from federal government agencies. Interfacing and liaising professionally with state and federal government agency representatives. Respond to questions from Sr. Case Manager about particular member intakes and H-2A program questions. Review and approve responses to federal and state government agency inquiries, notices of deficiency, and requests for evidence. Provide management consulting to the Legal, Trade and Supply Chain Departments, which includes engaging in forecasting, revenue analysis, and case volume projections to create and generate reports regarding business growth, cost reduction/efficiency improvements, sales, and lead generation. Assist in promotion and marketing of H-2A services, including attending conferences to help promote the Western Growers H-2A services. Maintain, update, improve, and manage H-2A case management systems designed to track all petitions and related visa matters. Continuously identify areas that need improvement to maximize the department, efficiency, workflow, and effectiveness of labor services provided to Western Growers members. Develop policies, guidance, visa program compliance manuals, and member checklists in consultation with General Counsel to provide members with best practices for compliance and to mitigate the potential for violations, governmental audits, and penalties. Analyze pertinent regulations, FAQs, and governmental policies to understand program rules and regulatory changes in the H-2A visa program. Remote work permitted up to two times per week. Attendance in office is required for the other three days of the week.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Qualified candidates should possess a bachelor's in business administration, project management, or a related business specialty (foreign degree equivalent acceptable) and 2 years of experience in case management involving large volume of cases on behalf of private, governmental, or non-profit entities. Experience must include at least 6 months of experience coordinating immigration cases and sufficient familiarity and practice with the U.S. immigration system, the various government agencies involved in processing immigration benefits and practice completing and filing U.S. immigration forms and petitions
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to travel to various locations in the U.S., mainly California and Arizona, for trade conferences up to 5% of the time.
SALARY
$100,000.00 per year. Position also offers standard corporate benefits that are applicable to all full-time employees, such as comprehensive medical and dental plans, life, short-term, and long-term disability plan, ten (10) paid vacation days per year, sick pay, nine paid annual holidays, and the company's 401(k) plan.
