Job Description

The Logistics Director is a senior executive leader responsible for developing, directing, and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain and logistics operations of the organization across all national service areas. The Logistics Director serves as a critical bridge between executive leadership and frontline operations teams, leveraging data-driven decision-making, industry-leading technology platforms (WMS, TMS, and ERP systems), and strategic partnerships with national logistics providers such as C.H. Robinson to maintain competitive advantage in a rapidly evolving wholesale and distribution landscape.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop logistics teams across all regional locations
  • Build and execute multi-year supply chain strategies
  • Manage 3PL/4PL partnerships and carrier relationships
  • Oversee day-to-day warehouse and distribution operations
  • Drive KPI performance: OTD, fill rates, order accuracy
  • Ensure FDA, DOT, and OSHA compliance
  • Own and manage the full logistics department budget
  • Integrate TMS, WMS, and AI-driven forecasting tools
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, procurement, and sales
  • Present performance reports and strategy to executive leadership
Qualifications
  • Minimum 10+ years of progressive logistics, supply chain, or distribution management experience - with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or director-level role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing third-party logistics (3PL/4PL) partnerships and national carrier networks, including vendors such as C.H. Robinson, XPO Logistics, Ryder, or equivalent providers.
  • Proven track record managing multi-site logistics operations in wholesale, food service, institutional supply, or commissary environments.
  • Experience with centralized purchasing processes, freight forwarding, maritime operations, and warehouse-to-warehouse transfer programs.
  • Proficient in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and logistics analytics/reporting tools.
  • Working knowledge of AI-driven demand forecasting, automated freight lifecycle tools, and supply chain visibility platforms.
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations, FDA food safety compliance, trade compliance standards (CBP/FMC requirements), and OSHA safety regulations.

  • High emotional intelligence with demonstrated ability to motivate, influence, and develop diverse, multi-site teams in fast-paced operational environments.
