Acts is currently seeking qualified candidates for our Life Engagement Director position.

In this role, you will be responsible for planning and implementing programs and events that deliver the Acts Signature Experience (ASE) wellness culture, fostering a vibrant and engaging community environment. ASE initiatives integrate the three core dimensions of life balance (body, mind, and spirit) to support residents in enhancing and sustaining their overall quality of life. Empower residents to pursue personalized wellness journeys by creating opportunities for goal setting, growth, and meaningful engagement across all dimensions of well-being. Lead and support community engagement efforts aligned with operational and management objectives, ensuring a high standard of resident satisfaction and participation. Provide oversight of operations for the Life Engagement team for all levels of living.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in recreation, fine arts, or a related human services field
  • Minimum of four years of progressively responsible experience in a recreation or life engagement role within a retirement community, skilled care, or assisted living environment
  • Certification through the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals (NCCAP) or completion of a state-approved Activity Coordinator course is preferred
  • Dementia Engagement certification from an approved program (or must obtain within the first year of employment)
  • Current CPR certification is preferred but not required
