PRIDE Health is seeking a local contract Medical Lab Technician for a local contract job in Clifton, New Jersey.

Pride Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MT/MLT) to join a leading diagnostic laboratory in Clifton, NJ. This night shift position is responsible for performing high-complexity laboratory testing, analyzing specimens, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of results, and maintaining compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and quality assurance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform specimen processing, testing, analysis, and result reporting.
  • Review, verify, and release laboratory test results.
  • Maintain quality control, instrument calibration, and laboratory documentation.
  • Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and laboratory safety guidelines.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and document testing or equipment issues.
  • Report STAT and critical results according to laboratory procedures.
  • Maintain laboratory records, supplies, and work areas.
  • Participate in training, quality improvement, and regulatory inspections.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related science.
  • National certification as MT/MLT through ASCP or AMT, or eligibility to obtain certification.
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience in high-complexity testing (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures, QC, QA, and laboratory operations.
  • Proficiency with laboratory information systems and computer applications.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Clinical laboratory experience in a high-complexity testing environment.
  • Experience working in diagnostic or reference laboratories.
  • Familiarity with multiple laboratory information systems.
