We are a Hudson Oaks, Texas-based Internet Service Provider (ISP) delivering High Speed Internet and Voice Services throughout multiple states to residential, business, K-12 Education and government customers. Install, maintain, modify and repair all electrical systems and associated electrical equipment

Essential Functions:

Reasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer's installation manuals to complete assigned projects
  • Remain in compliance with current National Electric Code
  • Inspect & test components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches, and switch gears
  • Manage the electrical permit process in the assigned area
  • Build and maintain rapport with local city inspectors
  • Clean driving record and the ability to drive a company vehicle

Skills:

  • Must have a stable work history
  • Must display professionalism and leadership abilities
  • Determining site installation needs/designs on the fly
  • Troubleshooting problem-solving skills a must
  • Solid communication skills, both oral and written
  • Must have high energy, intuitive, ability to multi-task, strong follow-up skills, must work well with all levels of the organization

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience as an electrician; extensive experience in both commercial and residential work a plus
  • Current journeyman electrician license

Job Classification:

  • Field Operations: Construction - Electrical
  • Exempt

Work Environment/Hazards:

  • Working in outdoor elements such as cold, hot, precipitation and wind
  • In proximity of heavy machinery and moving vehicles
  • Moderate noise level
  • Use of PPE
  • Working in elevated places

Physical Demands:

  • Frequently moving, transporting, positioning objects of at least 60 pounds or more
  • Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffoldings, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms
  • Must be able to climb roof tops of all types and to perform job duties from high places.
  • Must be able to pull own body weight plus equipment weight up roofs and vertical tower repeatedly
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, sit, and climb ladders and communication towers and work in an elevated position
  • Frequently required to use hand and power tools

Working Hours/Days:

  • Monday through Friday
  • Min 40 hours, flexible hours
  • Overtime as needed

Travel Requirements:

  • 40-60% travel required, some out of state
  • Some overnight will be required
