As a Payment Sales Officer in the Mid-Corporate Payments Sales team, you will specialize in Insurance while also serving a diversified client base. In this dynamic role, you will drive the end-to-end client experience, focusing 30% of your effort on National Insurance clients and 70% on clients across diversified industries. You will be a key leader, responsible for developing new business, deepening relationships, and delivering integrated treasury solutions. You will act as a “National Champion” for the Insurance Subsector, partnering across marketing, training and banking to develop insurance-specific marketing, build knowledge-sharing forum and provide secondary coverage on the largest national insurance opportunities.

Job responsibilities:
  • Develop and grow relationships with insurance clients, understanding their unique business models, regulatory environment, and payment needs.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the insurance sector, leveraging industry insights to position J.P. Morgan Payments solutions.
  • Stay informed on insurance industry trends, challenges, and competitive landscape to effectively advise clients and drive sales.
  • Act as “National Champion” for the Insurance Subsector, partnering across marketing, training and banking to develop insurance-specific marketing, build knowledge-sharing forum and provide secondary coverage on the largest national insurance opportunities.
  • Deepen and grow existing market relationships across a broad range of industries developing new profitable business from prospective clients
  • Engage J.P. Morgan Payments Solutions, Bankers, and clients at senior and strategic levels to provide integrated treasury solutions within a consultative and client-driven framework.
  • Partner with internal product stakeholders to represent the client perspective in the development and evolution of complex products and solutions ensuring compliance and optimizing delivery.
  • Understand clients’ business goals, environments, strategies, and industry trends to determine requirements and identify new business opportunities for J.P. Morgan Payments.
  • Manage client visitation and contact, promoting sales through frequent meetings and discussions covering new products, market, and industry developments.
  • Lead proposal writing and manage the entire sales process, including competitive RFIs/RFPs.
  • Drive efforts to expand existing business with current clients, provide feedback to product managers, and generate cross-sell opportunities by maintaining strong relationships with other J.P. Morgan lines of business.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
  • 5+ years of cash management, sales, and relationship management experience with exposure to insurance and diversified industries.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Payments products, including traditional Treasury Services, Merchant Services, Trade & Working Capital, and Commercial Card.
  • Competence in assessing new opportunities and contacting key decision makers.
  • Demonstrated account planning and execution skills.
  • Creative solution and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to build and develop relationships across multiple sectors.
  • Superb attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Understanding of Compliance and KYC processes.
  • Effective collaboration, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills.
