Halliburton Production Solutions is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join its Technology Team.
Job Duties/Expected Knowledge:
  • Own the electrical architecture for surface systems: LV distribution (24 VDC, 120/230 VAC, up to 480 VAC), MCCs/VFDs, safety circuits, instrumentation, grounding/bonding, and surge/EMC.
  • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle: requirements → schematics/SLDs, panel layouts and wiring, I/O lists, cause and effect → FAT/SAT → hazardous-area certification → release• Engineer systems for hazardous-area use (ATEX & IECEx); select certified components (Ex d/e/i/t), manage conformity assessments and technical files. (NEC/CEC Class/Division experience is a plus.)
  • Implement and integrate control solutions (desired, not required): National Instruments CompactRIO or PLC/DCS (Allen-Bradley/Siemens), plus HMI/SCADA and industrial networks (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, PROFINET, CAN)
  • Apply reliability and analysis tools as needed (FMEA, DoE; short-circuit/coordination, arc flash/NFPA 70E, etc.)
  • Collaborate across mechanical, software, certification, supply chain, and manufacturing, guide vendors and panel shops
  • Mentor junior engineers/technicians; standardize design guides and manage obsolescence
  • Contribute to IP and drive cost, quality, and reliability improvements

Education:
  • This position utilizes skills typically acquired through the completion of a degree in Electrical/Instrumentation & Controls Engineering or similar discipline
  • Minimum educational requirement of a PhD with zero years' experience or Master's degree with two or more years' related experience or Bachelor's degree with four or more years' related experience. Prefer candidates that have between 5-7 years industry experience

Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher-level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs. Depending on education, experience, and skill level, a variety of job opportunities might be available from Senior Engineer up to Principal Engineer.
