POSITION: School Security Guard
EFFECTIVE: 2026-2027 School Year
SPECIFICS:
  • 10-month, Full Time, 1.0 FTE, when students are in session
  • Not to exceed 8 hours per day
  • Unaffiliated Salary Schedule $16.48 Per hour
  • 7:30 am to 4:00pm
  • Reports to: Building Principal
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Good employment and excellent attendance record.
  • Excellent public relations skills.
  • Ability to communicate well with students.
  • Ability to follow directions, make decisions, and assume responsibility for activities with without supervision.
  • Ability to successfully pass background (fingerprints) and physical screening.
RESPONSIBLILITIES:
  • Greet students entering and leaving the building.
  • Building relationships with students to create a positive school culture.
  • Monitor students in hallway & cafeteria throughout the school day including morning and afternoon dismissal time
  • Escort students to their classroom or administration office when arriving late or are wondering the halls.
  • Ensuring students are following policies as indicated in the school handbook.
  • Monitoring and ensuring that the school is a safe environment
  • Communicating with the Building Principals and School Liaison Officer.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Building Principal.
