The Graphic Design Instructor is responsible for providing quality instruction to students that meet the program and course objectives. The Graphic Design Instructor should maintain an organized, disciplined classroom environment that is conducive to learning and imparts the requirements of the relevant workplace setting to existing students.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Credentials and Experience:

  • A minimum of an AA/AS degree in a related subject area from an accredited college (Associates level instructors)
  • A minimum of a BA/BS degree in a related subject area from an accredited college (Bachelors level instructors)
  • 4 of more years’ experience in related field • Depending on the courses taught, must be familiar with all aspects of 3D Modeling and rendering, illustration, video editing, Adobe Suite, photography and lighting, marketing and social media, and life drawing skills
  • Experience with Apple Final Cut Pro, Motion, and Adobe CC required i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere. After Effects, and Lightroom Classic

Employment Status: Adjunct, hourly, non-exempt.

  • Adjunct faculty hours are determined by the scheduled courses in a particular module. Adjunct faculty are scheduled as needed with no guarantee of hours at any time and scheduled hours are generally under 25 per week.
