THE JOB:

As an usher, greeter or ticket taker at the WHITE RIVER AMPHITHEATRE, you will greet guests, electronically scan concert tickets/passes/credentials to verify authenticity and allow guests entry into the venue; help to ensure safety, help to maintain the cleanliness of the venue and engage with guests to assist with their needs before, during and after the show.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO:

  • Greet guests and scan event tickets upon entry to the venue using hand-held electronic scanners.
  • Examine tickets/passes to verify authenticity.
  • Assist with keeping the venue safe, clean and presentable to the guest.
  • Resolve or refer guest complaints or problems.
  • Provide assistance to guests with special needs, such as helping with seat accommodations.
  • Guide guests to exits or provide other instructions or assistance in case of emergency.
  • May assist in verifying staff credentials to generally restricted areas.
  • Assist patrons by answering questions and giving directions to places inside or outside the venue.
  • Examine tickets for entry to various seat levels around the venue during the event and assist guests with locating their seats. Help maintain clear aisles and inform guests of venue policies as needed.
  • Ensure guests are safely enjoying the show.
  • Guide guests to exits or provide other instructions or assistance in case of emergency.
  • May help at informational kiosks or displays around the venue.
  • Position requires working outdoors under variable weather conditions.
  • Show CARE by participating in venue recycling efforts before, during and after the show.
  • Partner with fellow band members at the end of show to close the venue- this may include collecting recyclables from the lawn and/or reserved section, picking up and properly storing event equipment such as lawn chairs, barricade, Etc.
  • Additional tasks as requested by Management.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Guest service experience a plus!
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Acute sense of judgment, tact and diplomacy.
  • Position requires constant walking, standing and/or climbing stairs.
  • Position requires working outdoors under variable weather conditions.

The expected compensation for this position is:
