Managed Care Specialist (Hybrid)

Location: Nashville, TN (Hybrid - Downtown)

Contract Duration: February 23, 2026 - June 30, 2026 (with potential extension)
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (7.5 hours/day, 37.5 hours/week)
Time Zone: Central (CST)
Pay rate:$20 on 1099
Position Overview
Our client is seeking multiple Managed Care Specialists for a hybrid contract role based in Nashville, TN. This position requires a combination of onsite and remote work based on team and business needs.
All candidates must be local to Middle Tennessee and able to commute to the downtown Nashville office as required.
Training Requirements
  • Up to 6 weeks of structured training (virtual and/or in-office as directed by the supervisor).
  • Attendance is mandatory every day during training to ensure proficiency.
  • No preplanned PTO will be approved during training weeks.
Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and determine eligibility for individual and family managed care programs.
  • Coordinate and communicate schedules with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct client interviews, gather case information, and compile data to support legal recommendations.
  • Manage case files efficiently, ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution.
  • Perform legal research, analyze legal documents, and assist in drafting legal paperwork.
  • Navigate and work effectively across multiple databases to retrieve and document information.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to leadership as needed.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's or Associate degree required.
  • Background in Paralegal studies (preferred, but not required).
  • Prior experience in a legal environment (preferred).
  • Customer service or call center experience (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong note-taking, email management, and documentation skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Work Environment & Location
  • Hybrid role based in downtown Nashville, TN.
  • Work will be split between onsite and remote based on team scheduling.
