This opportunity is ideal for candidates looking to build foundational production skills, gain exposure to multiple studio production teams, and develop within the fast-paced world of motorsports storytelling.
Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Organize and maintain archive materials to support production and long-term asset preservation

  • Catalog field footage using the Perfect Memory Media Asset Management System, including tagging, metadata entry, and identifying edit points

  • Assist Production and Production Services teams with logging and editing content for projects and programming

  • Cut down and quality control full races for the NASCAR Classics platform

  • Support content preparation for the NASCAR FAST Channel, including pre-produced content and race edits

  • Provide backup coverage for the department, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

  • Rotate through other teams to gain exposure to workflows and production processes

  • Support production activities including social/digital content, live event support, graphics, and studio operations

  • Assist with live production needs such as teleprompter operation, commercial break insertion, and event support

  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Required skills / experience:
  • High school diploma (or equivalent), 2+ years of experience in broadcast, new media, journalism, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Basic knowledge of video editing and production workflows

  • Experience with Mac OS preferred; familiarity with Perfect Memory, Adobe Premiere, Xytech, Photoshop, After Effects, or HTML is a plus

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to conduct accurate research and manage large volumes of content

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Basic typing, spelling, and problem-solving skills

  • Knowledge of NASCAR and the motorsports industry, including its history and personalities, is preferred

  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
