We are excited about what we do, and we need you on our team as we take on exciting challenges for NASA’s pursuits in deep space exploration.
Our long-term client relationship with NASA has led to a need for a Human Landing System (HLS) Flight Control Simulation Engineer with a JETS II teammate company, Aerodyne Industries.
This position will work with the NASA and JETS engineers to develop and maintain a 6-DOF Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) simulation in support of the NASA HLS Program and will focus primarily on the development of flight control system algorithms for both automated and piloted manual flight of lunar lander vehicles. This HLS simulation is being developed to assist in the design and development of a crewed digital manual control system, prototyping Displays and Controls, and assessment of human-in-the-loop handling qualities.
The selected applicant will:
- Provide math modeling and simulation development of guidance and flight control algorithms for automatic and piloted manual flight of lunar landers
- Develop formal math model and simulation documentation
- Identify team simulation tasks, resolve simulation related issues and assist team members.
- Directly interact with the NASA customers, along with various NASA support contractors, during technical meetings and working groups.
- Perform other duties as required
Resumes, in month and year format, must be submitted with application in order to be considered for the position.
