Job description

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant supervisory experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. Citizenship is required.


What You’ll Experience:

  1. Lead a team of ~25 engineers with diverse experience levels, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  2. Manage key administrative responsibilities, including timesheet approvals, QCIs, performance assessments, and salary planning.
  3. Support direct reports in developing and achieving SMART goals, fostering accountability, growth, and alignment with both individual career paths and organizational priorities.
  4. Support contract task modifications, including developing BOEs and SOW responses to RFPs in support of the office’s Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) engineering services contracts, including both NASA and NOAA satellite projects.
  5. Partner with senior leaders and other managers to drive strategy sessions and enhance the operational health of the Greenbelt Office.
  6. Dedicate ~10% of your time to company-wide administrative duties while remaining primarily DLU chargeable.

What You Bring to the Table:

  1. Proven experience managing engineering teams, with strong administrative and strategic planning skills.
  2. Familiarity with NASA or USGS programs, and a solid understanding of satellite program support.
  3. Ability to ensure compliance, on-time completion of tasks, and successful execution of performance assessments and salary planning.
  4. Proficiency in task management, including task modifications and developing BOEs and SOWs for RFP responses.
  5. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with senior leaders, other managers, and distributed teams.
